QUESTIONS:
3. What does Toni Leviste want to tell his readers?
“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” — Oprah Winfrey
Toni Leviste wanted his readers to know the importance of doing their passions which I totally would like to agree upon. I believe that when you feel passionately about something you’re always eager to learn more and do more. The greatest inventions of our time weren’t created by people who felt chained to their desks or hated their jobs, they were created by people who followed their passion. For example, people who love to cook can come up with new recipes just by standing in a supermarket and people who love to write poetry turn normal conversations into sonnets. By doing what you love, you will always find yourself learning and growing.
4. What one thing do you dream about doing that you’ve never told anyone?
Honestly speaking, I wanted to become a film director. Ever since I was in Grade 7, I’d love doing projects involving videography like documentary, short film and even music video. Whenever our teacher would announce this type of project, I would very much be excited about it. I usually volunteer to be the director (sometimes as the editor, scriptwriter, or camera woman). I didn’t know about this passion up until I realized that whenever I’m doing this kind of thing, although I get stressed out, I still have the willingness to finish it with the best that I can. I’ve done a lot of short films that was acknowledged and honored by my teachers and classmates. I’ve also joined a lot of contest and won medals and trophies.
5. What’s stopping you from moving forward and exploring your passions?
Currently, I am now taking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) strand at Muntinlupa Science High School. Honestly, this is not the strand I wanted because as I’ve mentioned earlier, I wanted to become a film director. However, I have no other choice because my mom wanted me to stay in the same school were I graduated junior high school, and sadly, the school only offers STEM and ABM strand. Regardless of what I want, I have to choose a strand that is not HUMMS (the strand related if ever I would take film in college), so I just choose STEM. This is why nowadays, I barely got the chance to explore my passion, because of course, I have to focus on the track that I’m now taking towards my future. Another thing is that I have no equipment like professional cameras, lightings, and microphone that I will be needing in order to pursue my passon.
