I Vow To

1 To go through this life only once,

For I have but one chance to live;

2 To be open to every experience I will have,

Without fear, closure or rejection;

3 To be contented with what I have,

And be grateful for it every single day;

4 To not carry the weight of past wrongs of others

But remain lighthearted and forgiving;

5 To love those whom I can,

And strive more to understand them;

6 To learn how to find happiness in my life,

And maintain the discipline to succeed, and the courage to fail;

7 To live simply and honestly with honors of word,

And let my heart and mind be pure;

8 To never lose sight of hope,

And let the people I love remain my guide even through the darkest times;

9 To do only my best,

And trust God will take care of the rest.
